Administrative processing delay time after interview for K1

221(g) for the reason that they havent checked my medical results during the interview.. but when i contacted SLEC.. they already submitted it 3 days before my interview.. i actually dont understand why it's taking too long for them to review my case.. called them to ask what's the reason, the agent just told me they are not allowed to give any information regarding the process..

When was your interview? I had mine on the 30th of July. It's been on Ready status for 9 working days (13 days to be exact) and then today (Aug 12) it changed to Administrative Processing. I didn't get any 221g form from them. The American Consul told me everything's good and the lady at window 72 (last leg for the whole interview process) advised me that I should be receiving a text from 2Go once they have my visa. It's frustrating as I think we have waited long enough. I want to be with my fiance already! cray5ol.gif

Just want to add OUR wait info to the list.

Interview 29 July. Told, "You are approved." by the interviewer. Last window said, "You will get your visa in the mail." yet gave us a paper (221g) that said further administrative processing is required with nothing required from us. We asked (both of us were there) what that meant and how long. Got the standard stone wall answer. "We can't say what it is, just that further processing is required. As soon as that is done the visa will be mailed to you."

Status said "Administrative Processing" then "Ready" (for interview) then "Administrative Processing" then "Ready" again and the "Case Creation Date" changed to 16 August 2013 from November 2012? "Check in two business days."

23 AUG - Updated to "Administrative Processing" again :-(

We called the embassy on 23 August and verified there is still no required action from us.

Today makes 26 days, four work weeks. Being not so patient in the matter I contacted my congressman (after 2 weeks). His representative sent a congressional inquiry. That got the same result as our inquiry. Standard "Don't call us, we'll call you." type reply. The congressman's office told us to wait some more. VERY disappointing that even a congressional inquiry does not find out WHY or HOW LONG the delay is for.

ranting33va.gifAll hail the secret process of the embassy. *lots and lots of sarcasm*

Good, at least there appears to be movement.

I get a laugh about this:

Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received your passport in more than 10 days after your interview, please contact the Embassy call center at (02) 982-5555 and (02) 902-8930, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to track the delivery of your passport.

So that tells me I should just continuously call the numbers and ask about the status until the visas are received.
