What is the priority date, what does it mean and how is it relevant. mine is 17 Dec 2012 which is the date we sent of the I129F, other than that how does it affect anything. I have not seen the NOA2 and have no idea if we have a hard copy, I think it is on there also.

Priority date is relevant for other types of visas where visa numbers aren't readily available (e.g. sibling of a USC where the current wait time for a visa to become available is in the order of 10 years I think (don't quote me on the number)). For a K1 visa the priority date isn't relevant because visa numbers are made available, i.e. there is no annual quota, so you can get a visa as soon as your file is finished processing, so nothing you have to worry about.

I have just seen the NOA2 and it also has a "valid to" date, what does that date mean, what must be done by that date. Is it for the interview, arrival in the US or what.

Nothing in particular must be done by this date. As long as you have made some contact with the embassy by that date (e.g. Sent DS forms or had medical) the date will automatically be extended. If you do go over the date, you simply take a new notarised letter of intent from the petitioner to the interview.

If you don't make any contact within the 4 months, I believe London will assume you're no longer applying for a visa.
