Hello everyone...i want you to shed some light into our situation and for those of you who have similar experience what did you do? I have applied twice 2009 for a visitor visa to see my now wife and got denied back then...we filed for k1 in 2010 but put on AP till july 2011 and case got sent back....i was married in March of 2012 to the same person and got my visa approved in June of 2013. I POE on 4th July and was asked by the CBA for how long we have been married? I told the CBA 1 year and 4 months and he took my finger prints and stamped my passport with a visa and wrote A# and gave an expiration date of July 3rd 2015. I got sent to another CBA who had me sign documents and had me sign a letter indicating that I agree to remove conditions within 90 days of the expiration date on my GC when I receive it....This week I received my GC that says expires in 10 years.

We ask for your assistance and input about this situation. What would be the best way to proceed? Any other members who experienced similar mistake? what did you do? Thank you in advance for your help.

This happened to someone else recently. They were recommended to fill out the I-90 and return the green card to get a new one.

I just received my Green card and it says 10 yrs. while it was suppose to be 2 yr until we remove condition. But in my case, The Custom and Boarder Protection officer only stamped me entry and wrote CR1. on my letter, they said if i receive a visa that has to remove condition, i should file 90 days before the expiration but if i receive a visa without ROC i should file for re-entry whenever i am leaving the US and staying more than a yr.

Thanks for the advice. We will take the right routes to correct this from becoming a bigger mistake. Thanks again.

I think that you guys should contact usics speak to tier rep. I would'nt just fill out anything and send the GC back just notify immigration for further assistance.

We will contact the USCIS and ask to speak to a tier 2 rep. We hope we can correct this matter without further issues. Thanks.
