Just about to send off our K-1 stuff, but just want to make sure that we aren't missing anything obvious.

So far we have:

  • i-129f form
  • g-325a x2 (we haven't signed the bottom black box, because unsure if we have to or not, if someone could clear that up for me that would be awesome- I dont have an alien registration number which is why we are unsure if either of us should sign it. I am the foreign citizen, she is usc)
  • The electronic notice form
  • 9x photos over a period of our relationship
  • all the flight itineraries from all trips to America and her trip here.
  • facebook log from beginning of relationship
  • skype log for past year...we both have new laptops, and couldn't figure out a way to go any further back
  • passport photo of each of us with the g-325a form
  • color copies of my passport visa's and identification page
  • copy of her birth certificate
  • cover letter
  • letter of intent, and ability to marry each other within 90 days of me entering country from both of us
  • statement on how we met, and progressed our relationship

Does anyone see anything we are missing?

we signed the g-325 a form in the box beside the "this form was submitted in connection with an application" area.

It is the box below this that we are unsure whether to sign or not as neither of us have an alien registration number. would we just put "none" in that area requesting for the alien number"?

You sign where it states 'Signature of Applicant' and date it there where it asks next to the signature. In the rectangular black outlined box area, you print the name and would put None for A# since neither of you have one. The signatures on the forms and letters of intent must be originals.

Make sure to provide copies of the passport stamps for your visits together in person.

we included both petitioner's and beneficiary's birth certificates. Not just beneficiary's

The foreign fiance(e)'s birth certificate is not required with the I-129F petition. The purpose of providing the USC's birth certificate is to prove their US citizenship. A USC petitioner can prove that with a copy of their US birth certificate, naturalization, or a copy of their entire passport(all pages).

The birth certificate for the foreign fiance(e) will be needed later for the K-1 interview.

skype logs were actually relatively short, since I have been here for the past year and a half, so we didn't have that much to put in a log. I think it was like 5 pages.

facebook logs, I copied and pasted from the message area on facebook. It took 10 minutes of holding down copy and scrolling. ended up with over 75,000 words and 280 pages..

The problem is, I didn't keep any boarding passes, I never thought to save them...I have maybe 2 random bits of boarding passes for connecting flights to places that weren't my final location...and even then I haven't seen them for a while.

If you have been in the US that long then show anything that proves you were in the same town with her. Do you have a bank account ? Credit card bills showing charges in her town? Driver license? Both have student IDs to same university? Or vice versa...her charging something in your town if you are not in the same location.

Your task is to show you have met in person the last two years, not that you flew back and forth and not that you Facebook. If you have evidence of being in the US with her and being in the same town or even living at the same address then that shows you met in person. You probably have much more evidence than most who are separated by an ocean.

I have a rental agreement for which we are both signed on? Would that be enough? I am also on a F-1 visa, and registered at the University within the same town.

Absolutely. Focus on items with dates that show you and her in that town. I'm sure you will think of things. Do you have a bank statement or driver license with an address for that town? Does she? It proves you met face to face. That's what it is all about. You have a totally different situation. You go to university together and live together. You speak the same native language (for the most part hehe). No need for those itineraries and masses of Skype and facebook printouts. Don't clutter up your file with fluff they don't need so they can't find the actual things they do need.

Prove:

1) she is a US citizen (birth certificate)

2) you have met in person within the last 2 years (document yourself in the same town, add a few photos together)

3) free to marry (any divorce decrees or previous marriages ended)

4) intend to marry (letter of intent from each of you)

Then just fill out the actual forms, the passport photos, the payment. Done.

So you think I should leave out the 200 pages of Facebook Logs? I doubt they would want to read it anyway, and we are quite worried, as we are both, erm....broadly spoken...
