I didn't realize your broad-brush theories about all Filipinas only applied to certain Filipinas.

In the interests of clarity, perhaps you should elaborate on which categories of Filipinas your statements do not apply to.

Sadly amriki bhai sex workers are a fact of life in most countries, though less so in RP than say Thailand where about 11% of all of the appropriate aged women work as sex workers.

See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostitution_in_the_Philippines

In 2009 an estimated 800,000 women were engaged as sex workers in the Philippines, here is an excerpt:

"Prostitution caters to local customers and foreigners .Media attention tends to focus on those areas catering to sex tourism, primarily through bars staffed by bargirls. Cities where there is a high incidence of prostitution are Angeles City, Olongapo, Subic Bay, and Pasay City,[3] with the customers usually foreign businessmen from East Asian and Western nations.[3]

When I posted I did not really know that Angeles City was a sex worker "hot spot" but it is listed as first, and so, though I've never been there, its reputation seems secure. Of course this relates to only a small part of Angeles City.

My theories are indeed broad-brush, generalizations are appropriate when looking at geographical cultural variations. In Thailand ~11% of women are sex workers--in RP only 2.5%. In reality the sex workers do not apply when considering the cultural/more values of RP women.

I'll stick with my viewpoint as espoused in the book "Lust in Translation." The author points out that RP's women are along with Tibet women and Ghana women the least likely to cheat--in the entire world. It's an interesting book and I recommend it. It was one of the reasons that I turned my attention to RP.

Probably low, especially considering how easy it is to find a young women that will trade sexual favors for a load on her cell phone in any mall, or how easy it is to find a prostitute on any well traveled road in the evening. But, yes, most Filipinas are good women.

How totally fu**ing random.

You are welcome to think as you like.

The book represents many years of the author's detailed research in over 50 countries.

The author presents her findings with substantial presentation of facts obtained through research. Why not obtain a copy through inter-library loan and then make your comments about randomness.

It is wise to read something before trashing it.

1. My Filipina would never cheat.

2. My Filipina does not smoke.

3. My Filipina is beautiful.

I think you are just being jealous of all us that found true love..

As my fiance would say, "that's super true." :)

You're "Uninvited", yet that is a tune by a Canadian Alanis Morissette.

Although your wife still doesn't look Asian in that pic....sorry. ;)

I already explained that. She moved to Canada when she was young.

My wife's cousin is a Canadian whose parents were both Filipino. I just met her in the last few weeks. She is a sweetheart and still doesn't know what "hoser" means.

Let's remove the words "green card," and apply the rest: "a better life, a way to support a family, to escape poverty" to the female American population.

Oops...I guess most American women who want the same thing, excepting the green card, are engaging in marriage fraud too.

If a person who wants these things look for a real and quality relationship--it's not fraud; it is the normal set of needs and desires that the world has run on for eons.

Or maybe everyone should go through the rigors we have to go through just to marry our loved ones.

Probably would greatly reduce the percentages of failed marriages if nothing else lol. :D

My wife doesn't know anything about beer or hockey. I told her that means she isn't Canadian.

And just moving there young turns any Asian...or any race completely Caucasian?
