Hi all,

Joining you in filing a petition for my soon to be spouse. Trying to get evidence together now and we mostly have pictures and email confirmations of flights (not many boarding passes). Since we were traveling most of our time together, 90% of our pictures together are self-taken. When we wanted pictures of ourselves with attractions we took them separately (i.e. we each have a picture in front of the Eiffel Tower, but not one together). Are we better off sending the pictures together (non descript, could've been taken anywhere) or the picture of us each by the eiffel tower so it's obvious we went to France?

No phone records, unfortunately. We use iMessage and Facetime, neither of which are shown on the bill. Given that we send 50+ messages a day it would take hours to try and go back and get screenshots from a few months ago, much less years ago. MSN was our main method of chat, but it no longer exists and Skype doesn't seem to want to show my history going back further than July 18th. No joint accounts, since we have never resided in the same country. We're depending on pictures, flight confirmations/passport stamps and affidavits for the most part.

Thanks!

Hi smile44,

If you could add some essential information to your profile such as country of beneficiary and type of visa, your thread would be directed to its appropriate section in the forum and you'll be able to get more input from people with similar situation or experiences.

Cheers!

Just do the best you can with what you have. The US spouse can add the beneficiary to their vehicle insurance and can try to add them to a bank account as well. Pictures together are better than pictures apart. If you have to spend hours getting random screenshots when you're low on other kinds of evidence then that may be what you have to do. The nice part is you're from a low fraud country so there isn't as much evidence needed. If you have boarding passes or stamps in passports that helps as well. The USCIS doesn't expect a lot when you are newlyweds.

Once you're married include some wedding photos, invitations, and even if you like an affidavit from family or friends who are close to you both and know you as a couple. Affidavits are very low on the evidence scale, but they're something when you're low on everything else.

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.  - Dr. Seuss

There are plenty of UK/American spouse's here who can give you all the info you need for your specific situation. Generally, compile a timeline of your time together from beginning through marriage, in pictures, passport pages, boarding passes, chat logs, any financial transfers, shared bills, etc. A little bit of everything from different time periods throughout your relationship. Fortunately, UK is a low fraud country, so the demand for evidence is lower than it could be. Good luck! I
