Green card processing time

Please how long does it take for green card to be delivered after arrival. This is my one month of arrival and yet no green card.I called the USCIS and asked us to call back. Pls your contribution will be highly appreciated.

Have you paid the $165 fee? if so my husbands came about 3 weeks after arrival. Good Luck?

Yes i have paid the $165. I paid it before arriving to US. i just hope it will arrive. Thanks for your contribution

What does you ELIS say? WHen did you POE? Where did you POE? Have you gotten your SSN yet?

You can pay for it afterwards however the green card will be delayed until such a time as you do pay. I do not know how long it takes if you don't pay before POE.

ELIS is the site where you paid the new immigrant visa fee.

Check it for updates. Normally around the 3-4 week mark it changes to Optimized and then up to a week after that it says "closed" and card produced.

Please i have looked up and still cant understand the full meaning of ELIS. would you mind to explain in details what it means? This is a month plus some days i paid for my GC yet it hasn't arrived.

The timeline for when the green card will be produced starts when you enter the USA not when you pay the bill unless you pay the bill AFTER entering the USA. Because you paid it before hand it starts from when you entered the USA. Like I said i the PM, it takes at least a month after you enter the USA for the green card to be produced.

You need to login to the ELIS website, where you paid the bill, to see what is happening with the card production. I gave you the link in the PM. There are screen shots in the linked post in this forum of what my case looked like as it went through the stages. from Accepted to Optimized to Closed.
