Hi Guys,

We are back again and the day really is a stressful one. Just a little background, as the title states my wife and I got married-went through the process-got approved, and lost the green card due to family issues that did not qualify for a deferment. So today marks 5 and half months of waiting on the I-130 and 5 months waiting on the I-129F, and I can't not help but be frustrated as calling USCIS gets me no where. I have been reading the posts about the extreme 8 months + delay and I was wondering if you guys could offer some suggestions so I can at least try to get the ball moving better on our paper work. I read a post earlier which stated that already having a# can completely screw USCIS up; and in addition to that, it seems that filing the I-129F was completely useless and it too is most-likely delaying the process even more. So I am sure you all can imagine my frustration so far after following the directions of the US Embassy in Ankara and USCIS. I have requested an infopass appointment at the Dallas, Tx office but I was wonder if you guys could provide some suggestions to help me get better results when I go. My wife has been out of the country for over two years now and this distance has really been taking its toll on us, so any suggestions anyone can offer are greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Until the 6 month mark I'm not sure you can do much to speed up the process. After that you can try service requests and contacting your congressman and senator. Look up a user named Darnell and his "about me" section. He has plenty of good posts too but does not do PM on the forum. He had to deal with Irving, Texas for a local office and went there several times so has lots of good info about going for infopass appointments and dealing with congressman liaisons.

Best of luck!

I read Darnell's about me section and it was very helpful.

Can anyone tell me how/where did you can enter a Service request/Referral or what tell phone number I need to call to contact an ISO?

If possible, if you have any information on the best way to start a congressional Inquiry, it would be very helpful.

Thanks

The number is the same one you normally use to call the USCIS. What you do is wait and someone will come on speaking spanish to you, then you say "english please" and they'll transfer you to an english speaking CSR. At that point ask to speak to a tier 2 or an ISO (same thing) as you have questions the CSR cannot answer. They have to do it, but some will try to refuse. You may be put on hold for a while.

But if you just wish to put in service request then a CSR can do that for you as well.

also use the advanced search tool -

search terms 'infopass questions'

username = 'Darnell'

then click on 'display as posts'

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thank you very much Darnell. You have given me more information in one day than I have ever gotten from USCIS and I can't thank you enough.
