Salamu alaikum - Hello to everyone :-)

We filed our K1 petition on January 22nd and I finally called USCIS and spoke to a Tier 1 officer. He said that Tier 2 officers were extremely busy but that my case did meet the requirments for a "service request". In the mean time he said that although it should be 5 months for processing they are actually at 9 months. My case was one of the many transferred from VSC. He claims that I should receive an answer within 5-10 days.

It's very frustrating to see those filing after us being approved and so many that have applied before us still waiting. My fiance is from Egypt so I know I'm in for a much longer wait but at least the initial approval or RFE would help keep our minds at ease.

My next step is to contact my congresswoman and see if that helps get things moving. I have been through this process once before but that process also K1 was 8 months from start to finish.

I'm sorry, I'm just venting and I thank Allah (God) for giving us the strength to endure this process. Our relationship is only growing stronger but missing the one you love is heartbreaking.

I pray that all of us get some much needed good news or at the very least some movement toward our futures. Our lives have essentially been on hold and we are at the mercy of this process.

I haven't heard anything either. Going crazy seeing how March is actively getting approved...

01-22-2013 - NOA1

06-21-2013 - Transferred to TSC

07-09-2013 - NOA2 (due to the glitch I find out about it on July 25th)

09-19-2013 - Interview in Moscow

I really hope you don't get a RFE and get approved straight away. I got one almost a minth ago and it was never delivered, now they told us to wait another 30 days so they can resend it. And it's not even guaranteed, they said it take 30 days to process the service resquest. So i'm hoping you get a noa 2 straight.

4/7/2014 (72 days ) status change to card in production for EAD.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm
