Interview Date set...but still no notice of our file leaving NVC.......

Our interview date is set for August 8th.... I have called NVC now several times, I have not received written notice of our case number and NVC keeps telling me that our file has not shipped to Manila....when I ask when, the person just says that they don't know.

I know we still have several weeks before our interview, but here is the question.....

What happens if you go to your interview and Manila does not have the file yet......has anyone had this happen to you ??

Any input would be appreciated......

Cheers,

cjmc

If the file were not at USEM they would not conduct the interview.

With that said, you have a month before the interview... relax... as long as NVC did not tell you the file was under Administrative Processing it will be there in time for the interview.

Once I had the MNL # I never contacted NVC again, I scheduled the interview a month out, which is more than adequate time for the file to arrive and never looked back.

What do you mean by you schedualed the interview? I thought the NVC chooses the day they want you to come in?

K-1 do their own interview scheduling.

that 'written notice' from NVC is a waste of time. some get it, some don't.

Since you have an interview date set, then there's an interview appointment letter floating around somewhere, already.

If I were you, I'd print the thing, then show it at the medical exam and the Cenomar-getting-appointment.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes, we do have the appointment letter which we will use to move us forward for the medical and CFO....

The question is....if our file does not make it to the Embassy by the time we have our appointment...what happens ??, has this ever happened to anyone else on this forum ??.

Have not heard of any K-1 not having there file at USEM for their interview, and there have been a couple that pushed it all in a few weeks.

As I said earlier, no file = no interview.

No NVC number, no medical can be made with SLEC....SLEC requires the NVC letter or Letter of instructions from the us embassy Manila.

Hi Netsikai- We have our NVC Case # which I was able to get by calling them, but no letter yet and our file has not shipped to Manila.
