Hi,

We are ready to send off the AOS papers but have a question. Is it beneficial to send photos of the two

of us together with the package for proof of our relationship? Also should we include a page where we

explain our case and relationship? Any advice?

Thanks

I don't think so - you bring this stuff to your interview, they don't want it sent with the package. I don't know about explaining relationship. We didn't do that, and they didn't send us an RFE for that :)

Good luck!! :)

I didn't send photos or any other evidence of our marriage with my AOS package apart from a copy of the marriage certificate.

I didn't even get asked for photos at interview either.

We did send some photos of us together and with family before the wedding, and we also sent a few wedding pics. In addition, we took pictures and additional proof of realtionship documents to our interview. (All based on the advice of a family friend who is an immigration attorney.)

It really is your call. If you think sending photos helps your case, you should.

I could be wrong, but I would stick with sending exactly what they ask for, no more and no less. If USCIS works like most organisations, there will be proceedures that are followed. These proceedures will presumably run along the lines of checking that all the necessary documents have been submitted and filled in correctly. Anything that is added on that isn't on this checklist will either be ignored or thrown out.

What is certain is that at interview you have all the time required to submit actual evidence of an ongoing relationship.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

No. You don't need such a letter for the interview. Both of you will be there for the interview and you can present your proof of living together like bank statements, utility bills, insurance etc. Good Luck

No Laura. When you get there, you'll see your entire file to date will be on the AO's desk. The previous letters you've written will be there for his/her reading, if they choose to do so.
