I guess this is my NOA1? I'm in shock...

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Vermont Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number EAC1390602202. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

Yes that is your NoA1. You'll want to make sure everything looks correct and call them if they have anything wrong.

My fiance is from Argentina (who's ISO country code is AR)... they said his birth country was the USA because that's also a state code! laughing.gif

I called and they fixed it right away -- no delays and everything went smoothly. :)

Now you'll have the longest wait. Good luck!

Regarding post above you will not get a SDO case number until NVC receives your case after you received your NOA2. The receipt number about is correct for now and EAC means your app is in the VermontServiceCenter. Your receipt number is what you will use to check your status until your I129 F is approved. You can check USCIS.gov to see the status of your app until it's approved then transferred to NVC which is where you will get your case number that begins with SDO.

For now.... you have a few months of waiting so I would drink a cup of patience or 2! Good Luck!

I just checked the status and it skipped the acceptance step and went to initial review. Is this a good thing?

INITIAL REVIEW

On July 8, 2013, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

That's correct. It means your case is now in the queue for review and eventual approval/denial. It won't change now much for a while.
