We're just in the process of perparing out ROC package (sending in about 3 weeks time). We have plenty of evidence of co-mingling and whatnots, so that's not a problem. But my wife and I were wondering whether or not to throw in a copy of our compensation claim against the State for gross negligence, since it bears both our names/signatures?

Long story short: We woke up one day to discover an enroneous bank levy on our account due to a clerical error by the State (they mis-identified my wife as a judgement debtor and sent a levy request to our bank!) On discovering their error, it was immediately removed, but we were left with a whopping legal fee from which we are demanding reimbursement from the State (that's only fair right since it was sheer negligence on their part?)

It's not a zillion dollar lawsuit or anything like that, just a simple claim form through the proper channels. We were thinking of throwing in a copy since, after all, you couldn't make this stuff up (if anyone from USCIS were unfortunate enough to be in our shoes I'm sure they'd demand compensation too!) On the other hand, would the fact that we're putting our foot down and demanding restitution simply antagonize USCIS leading to their seeing us as a pair of troublemakers and deliberately giving us a hard time? We can't decide.

Opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There is nothing wrong with adding it, but I personally would not unless you are low on other evidence, and it doesn't sound like you are.

In my personal opinion, do not use it since you have enough other evidence. Don't give USCIS a chance to review your application a little differently than usual.
