I have two questions regarding I864

1. My employment letter mentions my job title, which is a title internal to the company hierarchy and does not indicate my actual occupation. So on all the forms should I write my occupation or the job title which is on my employment letter?

2. for the past 2 years (2012 & 2011) my income should be sufficient to be eligible for support of spouse, but in 2010 I was a student and made $17,000 , should I include tax information for 2010 with my affidavit of support or just limit it to last 2 years?

You are technically only required to provide 2012. You can provide 2011 if you wish but it is not required. I don't think you need to worry about 2010.

My advice regarding job title is be consistent. You may be worried that the title understates the importance (and therefore earnings power) of what you do - just my guess. What really matters however is your AGI as reported to the IRS, documented by a tax transcript (available for free from the IRS). Therefore to avoid any confusion my advice is to be consistent. See what others think.

Should it also exactly match the job title on i-130?

My lawyer shortened the job title on i-130 due to lack of space and it doesnt match the employment letter exactly. Is it more important to match the employment letter or i-130?

It's important to match whatever your title actually is... What do your W2 say? I would match your employment letter honestly.

For instance my husband is known as an electronics technician but because he works for the FAA his actual job title is Airway Transportation Systems Specialist.

You have to include your tax information for all 3 years but you only have to send it the transcript for the last year. Either do the last year or all 3 years. In 2010 my husband had very little showing on his w2 because he spent half the year deployed to Iraq so that income wasn't taxable. We had no issues with that year because his CURRENT income is more than enough. T
