How do you know which centre to file at? On every document it says to mail it to Texas, is this correct but I see people have mailed theirs to California as well... which is correct?

Also, does it matter if it is mailed out of country?

07/10/2013 - Mailed I-129F

07/18/2013 - NOA1

07/19/2013 - Alien Number Change

08/27/2013 - NOA2

You don't pick. You send the file to the Dallas lockbox in Texas, as per the instructions. It's then forwarded on to a service centre. You can't send the petition direct to a service centre.

Which service centre generally depends on the state the petitioner lives in, but it can vary. It does not matter that you're abroad.

Those California mailings you're seeing are people stating that their cases were forwarded to California, not mailed there directly.

When in doubt, follow the instructions.

good.gif ALWAYS follow the instructions. The instructions for filing AND the location are all listed in the I-129f instructions.

I suggest, reading the guide on here multiple times, reading the I-129F guide multiple times and checking your paperwork at least 5 times before you send it away. If you mess up, then they keep the money. There is no guarantee they will send an RFE (request for evidence) when you forget to send something.

Best of luck!
