Good Day to all... My case is this, .... My petition to my husband is approved (F2A) and in the stage of still waiting for the NVC first correspondence. My husband priority date is to be current soon, estimated possibility is within 4 months. the problem is my husband is residing in the philippines but will start working at kuwait. Not knowing how long the petition processing time will take, because it may still take years, my question is can my husband take or schedule the medical and interview on the country where he will be working?

Thanks Penguin_ie.... but my husband is still in the philippines and will start working at kuwait probably this coming july. I dont have any idea yet if that will be the same as having the legal residency permit also.

Miss apple21... my husband's PD is feb. 7, 2012. In the visa bulletin the current PD i believe is OCT2011, so just an estimate that his PD will be current soon.

I also wanted to know your view or ask for an advice....

If my husband PD is really going to be current soon... do you think its better for him not to continue to go & work to kuwait for now?

& I still have 1 problem: I have no income, so my AOS will be from a joint sponsor & I guess sending a letter of explanation why i do not have work now...

this problem might be a cause of a long delay for us, that is why we're confuse if my husband still needs to continue his work or application abroad, and that is why i asked my first Question Above this post... unsure.png

In my opinion, I would rather wait here in the Philippines. Working abroad has contracts for at least a year or more (especially employment in Middle Eastern countries). It would cause delay in your part if your husband signs a work contract then his PD becomes current, he would not be able to quit the job easily unless you pay the employer to release him from said contract.

It's your call.
