Hi, I thought you might find that interesting.

I just got an email from the White House (Marketing). Here is what it says

Hi, all --

In the past few weeks, people from all over the country have written in to the White House to share the stories of how their families came to America. Each one we read is a reminder that many of us share a similar experience. That's certainly true for my own family -- my parents came as newlyweds from Bolivia. These are narratives that Washington needs to hear as this town debates the right way to reform our broken immigration system.

At the White House, we're no different from any other office anywhere else in America. As a team, we have a lot of stories that began outside the United States.

To help make this an actual dialogue about who we are as a country, we thought we'd share some of those stories with you.

That's why we put together this video. Watch it, then pass it along to help get a conversation going in your community about your American immigration stories.

President Obama wants the result of this debate to be legislation that reflects who we are as a country -- as much a nation of laws as we are a nation of immigrants. And he wants his White House to reflect who we are as a people -- individuals from different circumstances united by a shared set of values and a common set of goals.

This issue is personal, as much for my colleagues here as for people anywhere else. And the thing I love about this video is that these folks help to make it clear why its important to fix this broken system. All of them are fulfilling huge dreams, and if others get the chance to have that same opportunity, we'll all benefit as a nation.

And if more people understand that the motivation for this reform is about living up to our values as Americans, it will be easier to get this done.

So will you take a minute to watch?

Thank you so much!

I got a call earlier today from an immigration reform group asking me to contact my Senator and encourage him to support the bi-partisan legislation that is being proposed. It looks like we can expect a big campaign on immigration reform. (btw - I did call my Senator and asked him to support immigration reform legislation that improves legal immigration processes, creates a guest worker program and provides opportunity for long term undocumented residents to earn a path to citizenship).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Our ROC was filed 8 months ago and our recent inquiry was wait another 45 days. FYI that puts us 30 days away from the wife filing for USC. Just how complicated is a ROC to review? I think it is a time for a rule and policy change, I.E. your renewal should be in the third year, and you pick a track either USC or ROC and remain a GC holder. If you have no changes address, marriage, arrest etc. it should be take the money and a picture and issue a new card. If you move to USC the standard investigation. When dream act people can have 2 DIU's, up to 9 counts of forgery with immigration documents, and other criminal violations, why jack with the honest people. Don't give away what our fathers and grandfathers paid for with their lives and then give the honest USC a different set of rules to follow for immigration, than dream act illegals. Relax the rules for everyone not just the illegals.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
