Her parents ( mom and dad ) must to make an affidavit or statement NOTARIZED, saying the complete name of the people that will pick her at airport gate and for how long this person is allowed to take care of her.

We had one case with a 16 years old brazilian girl, that had her B2 visa issued and flew to US, at the airport she didn't have this document and her mom auntie didn't had the statement to proof she was authorized to pick and take care of the girl and the girl was hold by US state dept. for 45 days ( I don't remember very well ).... This brazilian girl was going to spend vacation and to go to disneyland... her dream turned in a hell as her own words.

Hypothesis

Nine months pregnant, Marli has dedicated the last 40 days trying to find justification for the arrest of V.. Failing to get direct feedback from local authorities, the real estate broker sought informally airport officials that accompanied the arrival of the student in Miami and people who work at the shelter.

In the sector of the airport immigration, one person said that two things may have weighed at the time of V. be barred: the lack of an authorization signed by the parents of the girl and writing in English for her to travel alone - the document was in Portuguese - and the lack of a role that would grant temporary custody of the teenager to Marli.

IF YOUR WIFE NIECE IS FLYING ALONE, BETTER TO HAVE 2 COPIES OF EACH DOCUMENT, ONE TO PRESENT TO ANY OFFICER WHO ASKS, AND ANOTHER TO HOLD WITH HER ( JUST TO BE DOUBLE SAFE !!! ) AND GET IT NOTORIZED BY HER PARENTS AT US CONSULATE ON HER COUNTRY !!!

The family ensures that sent to the Consulate of Brazil in Miami authorization, with certified translation, on November 28. But the document granting temporary custody was handed over to Brazilian diplomats on December 5. The Foreign Ministry said it is working to reach a quick solution to the case.

The U.S. attorney Gina Polo, who works in an office specializing in immigration law in Miami, agrees that the lack of the document would be sufficient to stop the entry of V.USA. "Let's imagine the point of view of the immigration officer: 'I do not know who this girl is, she is a minor, is traveling alone and do not know who will get it. Unfortunately, there are several bad guys. Whether there was consent , the officer would have sent to the shelter to protect her, "said the lawyer.

End of the dream

The news of the appointment of the hearing to the end of January was greeted with sadness by V., according to his mother. "They ruined a dream that my daughter had, which was to meet the United States and visit the Disney parks. She lost the will to get there. She told me, 'Mom, do not want to know anything here. I just want to go home "said Alexsandra.

V. won a trip to the United States aunt and intended to stay there until May 26. U.S. officials say they can not give explanations about the case not to invade the privacy of V.
