NVC case number

I have been told by everyone to call the NVC to get our case #. I got it a week ago. I can't do anything with it till the DS3032 and AOS bill are generated. So why am I told to get the case # as soon as possible?

Well if you had a reason to expedite it, it would now be possible with your NVC number. Other than that, good question. I'm looking forward to other replies because I'm at the same stage myself.

The DS-3032 is not something you have to wait on, once you have a case number, the DS-3032 can be emailed, see this wiki for more information: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

Also, once you have your case number, you can use it to access the payment portal yourself to see if the bills have been generated rather than waiting to be contacted.

The Ds3032 was emailed 5 days ago. When I called the NVC I was told I can not do that till the DS3032 is generated. And I can not pay any of the bills till the DS3032 is accepted.

That's not true. Login to the payment portal and see if the aos bill has been generated! Aos and I've run on two separate tracks that are exclusive. The ds-3032 generates the IV invoice when it's accepted and the aos generates on it's own after your case is at the NVC.
