Signing Up for "Loomis" + Earlier Interview Dates?

Ok so I did a search and didn't find EXACTLY what I was looking for.

I know I have to sign up on this site

https://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_immigrant_visas

I saw something about fees here:

https://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_fee_payment_options

but none of those say immigrant.

Is there any fee associated with doing whatever i'm doing right now?

I'll be honest, I am completely clueless on the loomis thing

I go and sign up (which I hope is self explanatory when I start)

Then I guess I get some kind of confirmation (that I have to bring to the interview)

And if I don't want to pay an extra fee, then I drive out to go pick up my visa from the location I chose when it's there.

Also, saylin mentioned possibly being able to schedule an earlier interview date on this site as well

I spend roughly 60 hours a week sitting at my computer so if it means constantly checking this website, that's fine, but has anyone else ever done it?

If so, can you tell me what I'm doing? lol

I hope I covered everything above.

I don't know about getting an earlier appt date but my LOOMIS confirmation sheet also said "no appointment scheduled" I think it's because NVC schedules the appt for CR/1 and IR interviews. I got through just fine. Good Luck/Bonne Chancegoofy.gif

I may be wrong, but I think maybe only the K1 people can schedule their appointments online? I think that us CR1/IR1 people have to try to contact the Consulate directly...

As far as fees goes, I think we are done paying fees until after the visa gets issued (at which time we have to pay $165 on some online portal for the Green Card to actually get printed).

I hope so.

I don't have enough money to get to montreal let alone may more fees.

Stupid expensive medical fee.

i found the earlier dates 'bit' and posted it in the rant. unsure which month, but it was recent.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yeah. I really hope hubby's shots are up to date!

I just got my husband's up to date and finally found someone who remembers him having chicken pox (Thank GOD because that vaccine/titre is a nightmare to arrange)

Hubby had to get boosters on TD & MMR because he hadn't had them in 10 years.

Hubby had the titres done last summer because he couldn't find his immunization records, and then got started on getting the shots he needed. Only problem is that he didn't get a hard copy of his current record from his doc, so that will be his first stop on July 2 when he gets back to Canada. He's pretty sure that he got all the shots he needed, but not 100%, because he doesn't have the records with him (I'm a little annoyed about all of this, but not much can be done now).

Would a notarized statement from his mom be enough to testify to the chickenpox? I could have her prepare one, just in case that isn't included in his immunization records....

Chickenpox, he just needs to verbally say he's had it.

My husband and his mother couldn't remember if he'd had it before.

FINALLY his sister remembered because apparently he gave them to her LOL

I am told the doctors have to report this stuff to the county health unit.

For us, we just went to our county health unit and got a print out of his past immunizations since he was born.

If he did this last summer, they should be there by now.

Unfortunately, all of my husband's were out of date so we had them done at his doctor's office on friday.

I'm going through hubby's papers and found his lab results from the titre tests last summer. Fortunately my memory is better than his, and I am now feeling a ton better about the medical and the fact that his immunizations are indeed up to date! They even did a varicella titre, and he was reactive, so that's a plus.

TD stands for Tetanus and Diphtheria

HOWEVER, I just realized.

He did not get the Pertussis Vaccine

The immunization link

http://panelphysicians.com/Pages/Age6.htm

Shows it as a combo TD Shot and only mentions pertussis on the left "Tetanus Diphtheria Pertussis "

However, on the back of my fancy vaccine thing, it says pertussis does not require a booster after age 14-16

HOWEVER AGAIN he hasn't had pertussis since age 2.

Now i'm completely confused.

I think i'll call the vaughan doctor.

he should know.
