Are you applying for a K2 visa for your daughter as well? In this case I would think that you need to bring her.

I brought my son to my interview, as he's my most substantial proof of our relationship! He has dual citizenship and a nice American birth certificate with eagles and stuff on it, so I figured it'd only help my case...

If you're applying for a visa not only for yourself but also for your child, she should probably come along to the interview.

Ask the embassy where you're being interviewed if she should come, and if so, which papers you need for her.

my daughter was in included in my k1 visa petition package .so no need to apply for k2

As far as I understand, you need separate k2 visa applications for your children.

This is from the department of state website:

Does My U.S. Citizen Fiancé(e) Need to File Separate Petitions for My Children?

No. Your eligible children may apply for K-2 visas based on the approval of Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), that your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) filed on your behalf, but your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) must list the children on the petition. Separate visa applications must be submitted for each K-2 visa applicant, and each applicant must pay the K visa application fee.

After your marriage, your children will need to file separately from you for adjustment of status. They cannot be included on your application for adjustment of status. More information about adjustment of status is available on USCIS’s website under Green Card (Permanent Residence).

That is incorrect, if you want your daughter to also come to the US.

USC here. I read that on that link you gave us it also says

"Your children may travel with (accompany) you to the United States or travel later (follow-to-join). Like you, your children must travel within the validity of their K-2 visas. Separate petitions are not required if the children accompany or follow to join you within one year from the date of issuance of your K-1 visa."

Are you sure that a separate K2 is required? I guess I will have to do some more reading or call the USCIS myself to be sure.

The children need to be listed on the I-129F petition. That is generally the limit of the K-2 application process until the embassy/consulate interview phase. At the embassy/consulate interview phase, they will need to have visa application (with associated fees paid)/other documentation/physical exam/etc. Check with the interviewing embassy/consulate as to the specifics on the K-2.

I am pretty sure of the K-1/K-2 process, at least as it was done at the Guangzhou US consulate last year, and suspect it is prettily similar as described in the Department of State Nonimmigrant Visa link I previously provided to you.

I believe that you may be confusing "visa petition" (USCIS) and "visa application" (Dept. of State). Read the link I gave you again, from the section above the section that you previously mentioned:

Important Notice: Under U.S. immigration law, a child must be unmarried. In most cases, K-2 visa holders must be under the age of 21 in order to adjust status following your marriage to your U.S. citizen spouse. Please see USCIS’s website on Green Cards for K nonimmigrants for more information and limited exceptions.

Hi all,

question is do i need to bring my daughter with me for my interview for the k1 visa?

looking forward in hearing your suggestion.

thanks in advance

Yes

my daughter was in included in my k1 visa petition package .so no need to apply for k2

Yes at application time. During the I-129F process your daughter is listed in section 13 of that form, that's it until approved and moved on to visa application time.

Hi again so in that case i need to wait for the approval for my Form I-129F,before my fiance can file for the k2 visa?and yes she was listed on my k1 visa

Yes once the petition is approved you will be completing applications for TWO (2) visas; the K-1 and a K-2

UNLESS you do not plan to have you daughter accompany you to the States, if you plan to wait you have up to one (1) year after the K-1 visa approval to get the K-2 processed.

NO a separate petition with USCIS is not required during the I-129F stage, just list daughter on the I-129F in section 13 as I mentioned above. During the visa application is when you do two applications.

There is a complete list of everything needed for the K-1/2 process in my signature below.

Pop down to the Philippine forum... say "Hi" , hang out... ask questions.
