Hi everyone its been awhile. I am preparing my aos. AND I need to know a correct answer because I am getting mixed responses and I dont want and RFE. My husbands medical exam in Honduras was marked incomplete. Does he NEED to complete them with a civil surgeon or can I just send that medical form in?

What do you mean "incomplete"? How did he get a visa with an incomplete medical?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I Believe you are talking about the vaccinations being incomplete. Just go to a civil surgeon to take the missing vaccine. I was missing another dose of varicela so I paid for that shot which was $130 and $50 for filling in the i693. You do not need another full medical as it was already done in Honduras. Hope this answers your question.

Well, that depends. How long ago was his medical? If it's within the year, then he should just go to a civil surgeon and have him fill out the vaccination portion of the I-693. If it's been over a year, he'll need a new medical.

You only need the first in a series of vaccinations for AOS. Having the DS-3025 marked as incomplete does not automatically mean you must see a civil surgeon for the I-693. Most people will be marked incomplete. See the post I linked above in this thread.

I sent an incomplete vaccination sheet (DS3025) on AOS application. However, I was asked for a completed one at the interview. Interview was in the San FRancisco office btw.

i think that's depend on his age.

you need to see the civil surgeon for them to tell you if he needed additional shot or what.

no one here in VJ forum will know exactly what to tell u because immunization shot they base it on person age.

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

If you did not have all the required vaccinations marked off or the DS-3025 was not properly filled out, then yes, they might require you to get the I-693 from a civil surgeon. Also, sometimes certain officers just seem more picky about things or do not fully understand their own rules about a K-1 not needing an I-693 if their medical was within a year and they had all the required vaccinations at the time of the K-1 medical marked off on a properly filled out DS-3025.

Many people are approved with just the DS-3025, so I would still suggest if their DS-3025 is filled out as mentioned in Nich-Nick's post, then they send just a copy of the DS-3025. They could be approved just fine that way. I would wait and spend the extra money going through the hassle of finding a civil surgeon for the I-693 only if given an RFE asking for one.
