Hello! This is my first post so I will try to be concise, but I have a few questions. I've read online all over the place and cannot find a direct answer to my questions.

I'm from the USA and my fiance is from the UK. We filed for the K1 last August and received our NOA2 at the end of April. YAY! SO EXCITED! My fiance received his letter from the Embassy in London last week. Even more exciting! BUT... On the letter it said to prepare the forms listed and send them in, and gave a link to the website for more information on cover letters, etc. Ok, got that, check. Towards the bottom of the letter it said "NOTICE: do not send any documents until requested to do so".

My first question is how and when will we be notified to send in the applications, etc? (Very confused that he was first told to send them in and then at the bottom of the letter told not to until told to do so.)

My second question is about the medical exams. We know that he will not be getting an appointment for the interview until they have received all the forms and the results of the medical exam. But the US government website that lists the information about this says that when you call to make the medical examination appointment, you should tell them the date of the interview appointment. !!! That doesn't make sense at all. How does this work exactly?

When, in relation to sending in the applications, should the medical exam appointment be scheduled? And what do we say when they ask for the date of the interview?

tl;dr Received NOA2 and letter from the embassy in London. What exactly happens next? What do we need to do regarding when to send in the applications and make appropriate appointments? Confused!

Any tips appreciated, thank you so much in advance! :)

First off, you need to read that webpage link carefully for your instructions. Have you done that yet? The letter doesn't give enough info. There are many links over on the left column of their instruction page with important information. The forms are on the right.

Send the forms now. The letter was your okay that they are ready for you.

Forms= DS-xxxx application forms. Four that you fill in.

Documents= birth certificate, police certificate, etc. which are not mailed but taken to the interview.

To make a medical appointment, you need your new LNDxxxxxx case number to tell them. No interview appointment date needed. To attend the medical you must have your police certificate with you. Start reading here too for a simple list of things you need to do. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/
