WHEN do they ask for financial support affidavit processing fee once you have NOA1?

Sorry for possibly repetitive question, but... we have NOA1, but didn't get anything in the mail yet to tell us what to do next.

Were we supposed to get this immediately? For some reason I had the impression that as soon as they look at your pack, they ask for the fee and the financial support documents.

What have any of you experienced? When do they require that fee etc. ?

Oh you really need to reread the guides. They shouldn't be asking you for anything. If you sent all required paperwork you just are waiting to be adjudicated and approved and forwarded to NVC.

the Visa Fee and Affidavit of support fee and all documents that go with that is at the next stage which is NVC (National Visa Center).

Since you are just starting out and will have a bit of a wait I suggest going to the NVC Filers thread and reading Post #1 and Post #2 so you know all you need to do after you are approved at USCIS.

I so understand how you feel. Right now this is the wait patiently time.

So just take your time and read the NVC filers thread. Ask questions. It's all good.

Also its not like your petition is reviewed immediately. It could be weeks, or months. (Usually 5 to 8 months you can expect an approval).

No instructions come what to do next just your NOA2 (I-797C approval). Unless you get what is called an RFE (Request for Evidence). If you forgot something fill out a form wrong they will send that which will delay you more.

Long as you sent the I-130, G325A for Beneficiary and Petitioner, Passport pics for beneficiary and petitioner, marriage certificate and evidence of ongoing relationship you should be just fine. Just hang in there. Hope this helps.
