I wonder if lighting a fire in the backyard would get thier attention, like I mentioned it is impossible to make a fire close to the hive as it would be to close to the house...

I have never been stung by a bee so i have no idea if im allergic or not......dont want to find out now! plus i act like a child around them....this summer a bee snuck into the office and found my particular office comfortable! I tried killing it with a bleach spray that i found in the kitchen (which didnt smell good btw) i kept hitting it with big thick files and it wouldnt die!!!! finally my boss came in and stepped on it which finally killed it! that was not a fun day...

im sorry you have to deal with bees now. its not a fun situation!

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

You need to find out where the bees are building the hive... then have it removed. Sometimes bee farmers will come "get" the bees for free for you as long as they can keep them.

Yeah I agree with finding where the hive is. Lady here at work had to re-panel the side of their house when they found a huge nest inside. It was actually starting to bulge out the woodwork and warp the exterior wall. Not to sure on the other half though.

As to ET's suggestion of fire... do you have a small charcoal grill you can light some wood in at night? I think that would be small enough to have there...

I seen the weirdest bee here last summer.

They are called "white jacket bees". I guess they dont sting you. My step daughter had a handful of them one time. They are pretty, but I hate anything that buzzes around my head.

You know how people tell you not to move or run when a bee or hornet comes near ya. Well I run, I dont sit there with the stupid thing buzzing around my head waiting to land on me.

Get a can of spray and get your husband to spray the hive before it gets to big. See if that might kill it and the bees in it. Just tell him to spray it , then run as fast as his legs can take him.

I think we are way past "before it gets to big" part.. .. hubby and his dad tried getting rid of the bees we had last year by spraying and it didn't work

I think I will try using the characoal grill thing tonight, see how that works

I just went and looked again and there aren't as many bees flying around but inside it still sounds like a lot of buzzing... I think they are inside the wall :o

Well, as long as you don't set the house ablaze to fight them bees. While that will take care of the bee issue (especially if they do live in the walls) the side effects of that approach may be difficult to deal with.
