hi is there any filipino here that i can talk too... about noa 2 content msg....

the petition has been approved. the petition indicates that the person for whom you are petitioning is in the united states and will apply for adjustment status. he or she should contact the local uscis office to obtain I-485, application for PR.

if the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for a visa outside the united states based on this petition, the petitioner should file I-824, application for action on an approved application or petition, to request that we send the petition to the department of state national visa center..

the nvc processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that require consular action. the nvc also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. it will then forward the approved petition to that consulate.

did they sent me a wrong letter....

here's my number XXXXXXXXXX give me some advice about this... thanks vj members

If that's what in the letter, you should chase this down with USCIS , an ISO, and tell them that the casefile should be re-routed to NVC and NOT the NRC.

That's it, really. Should take some time, also.

Don't have resolution on it? Get Congressional inquiry started.

NVC - that Department of State office that handles document intake for Immigrant Visas (you want the casefile to travel there)

NRC - National Records Center - a USCIS office -used for approved I-130 storage when the beneficiary is inside of the USA, chasing after adjustment of status (not visa) (you don't want the casefile to go there, at all)

ISO - Immigration Service Officer, a 2nd line support staff member at the USCIS National Call Center.

More ISO info -> http://www.dhs.gov/files/publications/gc_1305658440339.shtm

IF you learn that the casefile was adjudicated at a local office, from talking with an ISO, is best (instead) to get into the local office and raise cain with someone in the I-130 adjudication unit (not the people behind the glass)

as

most likely (like me) you left Q22 blank in the I-130.

anywhere from 2 to 60 days, depending on where the casefile is and how recent that approval notice is.

otoh, it may be a non-issue, and just a data error with how the local office finished up the approval clicky bits in the computer.

hard to say, until that first phone call. if gets really messy, get congressional liason human to step in.
