Hi

I just noticed on the processing timelines, that they are processing I-131's with a receipt date of Jan 15th 2006. My receipt date is Dec 20th 2005. I have no major hurry for this, but I did pay $$ for it! Should I make an Infopass appointment to see what's going on or just leave it?

My AOS interview is April 10th, so should I leave it and ask for a refund

Thanks :) Amanda

Hi,

you were lucky to have already your AOS interview scheduled!!! You can't ask your money back, that simply doesn't exist... you can either make an infopass to get your AP earlier or just wait for your AOS interview and save the trip to the local office (and all the waiting, parking, etc... time is $$ too!)

Good luck!

Princesa

I spoke to USCIS on Monday and they did not know why the AP was being held up. They gave me a case number and said they were going to put an inquiry onto it. I dont know whether this will do anything or not, or if it is just a ploy to make you feel that something is happening.

My wife's AP was approved in September, RFE'd in November, Approved again in January, and, supposedly mailed on Feb. 16. Guess what...STILL no AP. At the Infopass appointment the IO showed FOUR different address changes...we changed it 1 time and NO address is correct. Oh well, we have our AOS interview on Friday.

Good luck!

I have been waiting since November 22nd. They also put in an enquiry on my behalf - and I was told they would write to me within 30 days to tell me what was happening. So, after waiting 104 days, and starting to panic that we wouldnt be able to take our honeymoon - or the trip back home I have booked in June, we called our congressman (on the advice of someone on this message board - I think it was Brian - thanks Brian!!). A day after we called them, they had contacted the Benefits Center to make an enquiry into make case and they are hoping to get back to me this week to tell me what is going on. I will post to let everyone know how successful it was, and if it's worth doing. Hope that everyone's APs arrive soon - WAITING SUCKS!!
