You know what I think you are correct. Question is how do you fix the problem of false domestic violence charges and communicate to people that knowingly making false statements is a crime in this country. It is time to send a single that coming here under false ideas is a crime, maybe to many immigrant spouses do not realize to make a life...a good life anywhere takes hard honest work, as does a good marriage. Not all Americans have a BMW and a corvette in the garage and the streets are not paved with gold.

I just don't think there's a good way to fix it. Having better people that could judge better and have more flexibility is about the only way, and that's never going to happen. You see people that come and marry with honest intent and have a spouse that never allows them to even adjust status that get sent back home when a valid marriage ends. Then you have people that only got married to get a green card, divorce as soon as they can and take every thing they can from the person that brought them here and they get to stay. They've written standards into the law, as they need to, and if the standards are met you stay and if not you go. You've got people getting burned and hurt on both sides of the issue. Its just not a perfect or fair world, and you're never going to pass a law that will make it one.

You know this is so true, where is the middle ground? Is there one? Anybody agree thermos no Utopia:) But would I do this again? The answer is yes I would, I would just be much more careful about my choices, and find a woman that is my age, I think it would mean we have more in common:) there is no reason to say all are bad from one country because of one person:)

She is gone, but if she adjusted status to PR and had a 10 year GC LAST YEAR, then her window for citizenship should be opening pretty soon.
