OKAY I received a letter today RFE, and im jumping for joy, im not crazy, just finally knwing that they some what looked at my file is joying to me, anyway, my question here is that the letter came in husband's name, this is how it looked, on the envelope his name first then c/o and my name next to it, and in side on the letter on the upper left corner it had his name, and ofcourse what they are asking for, and if this gonna help answer my question, they requested my original birth certificate, is that normal or could they might think that he is the petitioner and im the beneficiary?????????? :innocent:

Are you the USC? If you are, then you were supposed to send that in the first place. If you did send it, it's possible they lost the first copy. If you're the beneficiary, some local offices have been asking for the beneficiary's translated birth certificate for some reason. Regardless of the reason - who cares? You got an RFE, meaning you're very close to NOA2. Get ahold of that birth certificate and send it in! kicking.gif Congrats!

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

My guess is, because beneficiary or an agent on behalf of beneficiary files DS-230 (or DS-260), the RFE (it's actually called check list) comes in the beneficiary's name.
