Hey VJ Fam,

On April 15 we did a Svc Request, and at that time we were told that the office where our file is at is currently working on Aug 20,2012. Our case was received on Aug 17,2012 (K1 AOS), so we're thinking that maybe our case was skipped or it may just be sitting in a pile on someone's desk. What do guys think it could be? Should it be something that we should be concerned about?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I think you guys are fine Ive read hear on VJ that sometime it takes years. I preparing my mind as wel as my husband mentally for the wait. Hope you hear something soon :)

Me either but what can we do. The most I have seen here looking at others timelines is like 10 months. Atleast we are here together now. Instead of traveling back and forth. Please keep me posted.

I just completed my K-1 AOS. I sent my AOS package just before Christmas. Received my EAD & AP on Feb 28. Did interview on April 4th & was approved for Permanent Residence. Green Card received on April 13th.

It's quite probable that your case will never be sent to your local office, and be adjudicated at NBC without interview.

K-1 Visa Timeline AOS Timeline

- Aug 31st, 2011 - Mailed I-129F package - May 29th, 2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP package

- Apr 13th, 2012 - Visa received - Aug 24th, 2012 - Green Card received

ROC Timeline

- May 19th, 2014 - Mailed ROC package to CSC

- Aug 8th, 2014 - Green Card received

N-400 Timeline

- Dec 29th, 2021 - Filed online. Got notice that biometrics will be reused.

- Now waiting...

I'd call your Congressman or Senators office and talk to the person who does government casework. I could not get a good answer from my service request. Within a couple weeks of contacting my Senator they did a USCIS inquiry and I found out my case is at the NBC within processing timeline (6 to 9 months) and our interview is waived.

USCIS [*] 22 Nov. 2011 - I-129 package sent; [*] 25 Nov. 2011 - Package delivered; [*] 25 Nov. 2011 - NOA1/petition received and routed to the California Service Center; [*] 30 Nov. 2011 - Touched/confirmation though text message and email; [*] 03 Dec. 2011 - Hard copy received; [*]24 April 2012 - NOA2 (no RFEs)/text message/email/USCIS account updated; [*] 27 April 2012 - NOA2 hard copy received.

NVC [*] 14 May 2012 - Petition received by NVC ; [*] 16 May 2012 - Petition left NVC.

EMBASSY [*] 18 May 2012 - Petition arrived at the US Embassy in Bucharest; [*] 22 May 2012 - Package 3 received; [*] 24 May 2012 - Package sent to the consulate, interview date set; [*] 14 June 2012 - Interview date, approved.

[*] 15 May 2013 - Moved from MN to LA; [*] 17 May 2013 - Applied for a new SS card/filed an AR-11 online (unsuccessfully), therefore called and spoke to a Tier 2 and changed the address; [*] 22 May 2013 - Address updated on My Case Status (finally can see the case numbers online); [*] 28 May 2013 - Letter received in the mail confirming the change of address; [*] 31 July 2013 - Went to Romania; [*] 12 September 2013 - returned to the US using the AP, POE Houston, everything went smoothly; [*] 20 September 2013 - Spoke to a Tier2 and put in a service request; [*] 23 September 2013 - Got "Possible Interview Waiver" letter (originally sent on August, 29th to my old address, returned and re-routed to my current address); [*] 1 October 2013 - Started a new job.

Hey, I think that Baltimore is my local office but not having an interview would be great. :)

Yes, our case is only 8 months in and we were able to put in a Svc Request especially since they are working on cases past our receipt date.
