Hey everyone! So I'm nervous because I submitted the I129-f on October 24, 2013 I sent all proof and documents including satements of Intent to Marry. My fiance' sent me an original statement signed however I sent my intent to marry statement and I know I typed in my signature but I don't remember signing it. Does anyone know if I should expect an RFE? According to the processing time at VSC my application should be processed in the next few days but I am so worried about this statement. I would not want to delay the process I am so desperate to have him here already. I know ALL of you understand PLEASE HELP!!

Maybe you wont get a RFE, since you name is actually typing, As long as your are acknowledging that you are FREE and willing to marry within the 90 day then you are fine.

You may or may not get an RFE. My fiancee is from Mongolia, and they don't have much of a postal system, so I sent it in with only one letter of intent signed by myself, and nothing signed by her. I just received NOA2 on Monday, so I know that sometimes they approve it anyway. On the other hand, there are people who have gotten RFEs for these kinds of things.

It's really hard to say. I think it depends on the strictness of the individual officer reviewing your case, as well as the strength of the rest of the documents you sent. In my case, I lived in Mongolia for nearly two years, nine months of them together with my fiancee, so maybe that made my case strong enough not to require much else.

I wish that I had gotten an RFE, though, because it's a chance to do more frontloading of the application. So it's a win either way :dance:

What would Xenu do?

Thank you. I was wondering becuase I have yet to recieve an RFE but no where does it says we need a signed original statement of intent to marry only Visajourney memmbers have come up with this proof from what I can see. Reading the instruction page for the I129f appliaction does not state it either. I hope I get a nice officer who over looks this and looks at the thousand emails and phone calls pics and bank transactions we send back and forth not to mention the trip info from when I went. Thank you guys for all the input I will be sure to keep you all updated.

I copied this directly out of the filing instructions on the state department website: My guess is you will be getting a RFE if you did not include statements.

Provide original statements from you and your fiancé(e)

whom you plan to marry within 90 days of his or her

admission, and copies of any evidence you wish to

submit to establish your mutual intent;

Don't worry too much. Even if you get an RFE, it's not a rejection notice. I agree with the previous poster about possibly trying to send a letter now in advance and hopefully have it added to your file. It can't hurt. My fiance had a few documents which weren't signed where they should have been, but there weren't any problems. Just wait and see, but things will probably turn out fine.

No you can not. There is no way to match up any subsequent mailings with your case files....until an adjucator opens the files (and send you an RFE) you have to just wait it out.

Good luck with that! :thumbs:

That is akin to finding and matching up two needles in a very large haystack. There have been some limited reports of success, though, the probability of success is certainly not very high. :thumbs: At least with an RFE notice there is a reference point as to the location of the information-deficient petition at the service center, and a higher likelihood of matching the missing document to the correct petition. :unsure:

YMMV.

so the OP asked for information, you are giving your opinion based on what you have read, I am giving information based on first hand experience.. needle in a haystack yes for sure, but regardless of all the posts here, there is some sort of organized formats, bar codes, and sorting that allows all this information to be funneled into the correct location.. that is why you put it attention to the correct department.. its not like there are a million people working on certain file types in the offices unless of course they are working on DACA files

luck is not necessary when you are following the broken process
