Ombudsman's office can't do anything until I am past 60 days of the normal processing time... the 60 day excuse again.... unbelieveable

LoveMyTico...

We are still waiting too. I come here everyday to read your post. I really feel when you get your approval we will get ours too. That's what happened when our case was transferred.

Our PD is April 15th. My husband who is USC is from south NJ so very close to you too.

We tried to expedite the case due to his deployment but nothing happened since he is just a civilian contractor. I find it very unfair..

I am so sick of this but I'm just telling myself everything happens for a reason. Maybe this long waits will be paid off in some kinda way in the future.

You are not the only one LoveMyTico. Hopefuly this would cheer u up a little bit.

Where is your file? If you are in Texas.... maybe we are in the same box... collecting dust.

I was told by the Ombudsman's office that everytime anyone makes an iquiry, the liason pulls the physical file from the officers desk, looks over it and answers the inquiry.. then gets put back....

I was also told by the senator's office that they only look on the computer to answer inquiries. they have access to all of the screens and don't need the physical file...

too many hands in the pot and nobody is stirring... #######????

If not done already, try emailing Rendell Jones (assuming his email is Rendell.jones@dhs.gov) and Lori Scialabba (assuming email is Lori.Scialabba@dhs.gov). Or email Jones with a CC to Lori...

Not sure. I hate this for you and feel frustrated for you.

I am sure someone must have posted but is there a way to get a FOIA request on your file. Just to see what they have actually done if anything. At least you will be getting information on what they did (if anything giving you BS in meantime) in case you need to go through with the Writ of Mandamus (prob got that spelled wrong). I agree with Kaylara too that just pass along to the senator (hopefully to her liason as a result) that you are considering a Writ... Not saying you have to file one..but who knows a little fear on them may help.

This is so ridiculous.

Luckily our congressmans office is being helpful which we didn't even know they did a follow up since we didn't contact them after the expediting request last year. They sent us a letter saying They cleared background checks as of Feb 7 and we will hear something in 30-45days. Let's see what's gonna happen.

I think if you were approved, your file would have been shipped to the NVC. You can try to call the NVC and ask if your case is there. But my experience is that the tier officers know nothing. Get your local Senator or congressman to make an inquiry. You'll get a better response... I received so much conflicting information EVERYTIME I called the USCIS. They all interpret the information differently. They can't see all screens. Don't spend time worrying until you get a real answer.
