It is BS! Is it getting transferred to Texas? Hopefully it won't be a longer wait then it already has been :( When mine got transferred, it took about 3 weeks to get the approval. I'm still waiting for my "local" embassy to receive my file. (that has been a month and I'm still waiting on that)

I've linked several disgruntled people to this thread, so if I've already done so with you my apologies.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/441796-faq-case-transfers-to-another-service-center/

But the TSC transfer is not a bad thing, as much as people would think it is. Most cases which are transferred are adjudicated much faster than they would be if they remained at VSC. You do not go at the bottom of the pile, you will not lose your place "in line" and your case will be picked up and should be adjudicated within the 5 month time-frame of your initial filing. Have some patience the process is frustrating for everyone. I haven't seen my man since January. :C

I don't know if it's getting transferred to TX, I just got an email saying my case has been passed out to another jurisdiction. I'm assuming its texas. God knows how long it will them to "adjudicate" our file at texas. My fiancee is thinking of reaching out to the senator, if we don't hear back by next week.

how long does it take from the point you're approved - to the file going to the NVC - to the file reaching the local office in foreign country? Is there a general timeframe?

Your fiance(e) is from India, which if I recall correctly, India is a "high fraud risk" country. Unfortunately, this adds some processing time to your petition regardless of the service center.

Keeping that in mind, the TSC usually adjudicates a case within 4-8 weeks of a transfer, but I am not 100% sure, but you can change your Service Center to Texas for your timeline to get a rough estimate. Keep in mind the data for the TSC is extremely variable right now as it is very new. I remember I would check mine every day and it was always changing. I was approved within 3 weeks of my transfer.

I just emailed the USCIS HQ's this morning because the TSC never responded to my email within the 3 week timeframe, so I'm guessing that's why.

We were approved NOA2 Aug 14th so 1 day later than you. I too emailed NVC 10 days later with all correct info in email and received an email reply from NVC last week with exact same message. This morning I resent the email as Hank's guide states this reply from NVC could be very useful once we finally get the MNL#. I hear I should also be looking back at the USCIS site with our WAC# to change from Approval to SENT to NVC so I'm also doing that. If you have any other ways for us to get our MNL# or find if our file is moving? please let me know.

Thanks so much!

Hello everyone! How many of us here are still waiting for the NOA2 in the mail since July?

I have bad news... I called USCIS and all they told me this time was that there was no need for a service request... blah blah blah, and that they will transfer me to a tier 2, for which I am still waiting a call back.

Also that I need to go ahead and file the form

I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition

This form has a cost of $405 dollars!!!! protest6wz.gifranting33va.gif

Can you guys believe this?! This fee is even more money than the I129F itself!

Any ideas of this?

I am totally amazed! I can't understand all of this BS!!!!
