Thanks for the reply, mine was transferred the 28th Feb 2013.

Hi.

how do you know the exact date of transfer?

I got an email saying it is 'pending at the Washington Field office'. Any idea what this means? Are they processing it, or is it being shelved so that they can finish their current batch?

Im confused.

You have to call USCIS and ask to speak to a TIER 2, then ask them for the date, but whenever you got the email, i am assuming that is when it was transferred for. Not to sure. I have an infopass on monday becasue it has been over 5months now and i am still waiting for an approval or some sort of any information on my case.

If this helps... I got my tranfer date from the email I received that notified me that my file had been tranfered. It read: We understand the concern that caused you to write. USCIS records show that your Form I-130 petition was received at the National Benefits Center on January 16, 2013, and forwarded to the XXXXX Field Office on February 27, 2013.

If you have further questions or concerns, please make an InfoPass appointment via our website at www.uscis.gov to speak to an Immigration Services Officer at the XXXXX Field Office regarding the status of your case.

Dammit.. do they really take THAT long?!

We haven't filed yet, but our case will most likely get transferred there since my fiance is in NoVa :(

I've heard some cases get transferred to Arlington asylum office now, cause they aren't as swamped as Fairfax.

Ugh. Good luck guys, hope you don't have to wait much longer!

So on Monday, I went to my info pass appointment with USCIS, cause it's been over 5months since i heard anything about my case. Well my appointment was in DC (fairfax city), but yeah went there (got complimented on my toe) lol weird! but any who their was no wait b/c of the time i went. Well as soon as i got my ticket it was called and went to the window 8 the lady was very sincere and ask me what i was here for and i told her that i needed to know what was going with my case and she said ok she will check when it was delivered to there office and well she said that in june i should expect an interview and so the waits continue, but at least i know when i will be expecting and an interview and she also made me write down on a piece of paper to keep for their records what i came here for and so on so forth. She told me if i was to travel to make sure to get another info pass appointment to let them know. But she was nice and very understanding and i have a feeling that my interview date might be earlier...*praying that it does happen*

Thank you both for the update! Keep us posted and hoping your NOA2 is sooner than later. I think it's strange to have an interview at this point but if that's how the DC office does it, so be it. I'm going to make an InfoPass appointment in July (the 5 month mark) if I haven't receive anything.

Just back from an Info Pass appointment at the Fairfax (Washington DC) office, went with my wife (petitioner) while i was over here on vacation. Complete waste of time, guy said "yeh we have your paperwork it'll get looked at at some point" When i asked him to clarify "some point" he said " i cant, we have the paperwork, you just have to wait till it gets looked at"

Ah well, it was worth a try.

Wrote to the local senators office last week in VA,had an e mail back today to say they had contacted USCIS and would let us know of any response back from them, hoping this just gives them a nudge for our I-130 approval:)

I made an InfoPass appointment today for June 11. By that time I'll be at over 4 months. I'm going there to validate that my file is there and to attempt to find out what dates they are currently processing. I'll update you all once that date gets here.

Crossing my fingers for someone to get approved soon!
