It's only a month according to USCIS. Their update only accounts for the month of January. As has been noted on here numerous times, CSC pretty much stopped doing I-129F applications because they were swamped with DACA. VSC had a similar problems that slowed them to a crawl as well. VSC moved DACA cases to Nebraska something like 6 weeks ago or so, and they quickly caught back up. CSC just moved DACA cases this month, and the hope is that they will also catch back up soon.

VSC hasn't been slow on I-129F's since Aug 2012. http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=6&charttype=1

I do think they have sped up on I-130's recently, based on VJ timeline, but a little too early to say it's because of the workload transfer.

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

NOA2 - 3/18/2013 Only took 207 days at CSC

Looking at Igor's list data, I agree. However, that is not what USCIS says in their table. I think they make it deliberately obtuse (so is it as of Jan 31, or March 22???), so they have the freedom to say what best benefits them, ie. less service requests/get the caller off the phone as soon as possible/screw you Jack.

I agree that the reason they update as of January 31 is to keep from having TOO many service requests, but the site is not really being confusing with the dates. It's relatively simple, when they update each month, it's for the month prior, so the March update is good through January, in April the update will be good as of the end of February and so on.

It's very frustrating, but no matter how up to date the website is, won't change the date you get processed. Watching the data as it moves, both here and there can only give you an IDEA of a timeframe. If you let those dates get in your head too much, you are just going to stress more and more about things you cannot change nor do anything about. All we can do is be ready for when the time comes for the NOA2 and continue to wait and hope and grow our relationships from afar.

I would say they've recently sped up I-129F applications. The last update, as of December 31 had VSC with a July date. Now VSC, one month later, has a 5 month date as it's listing for I-129F applications. This is a pretty good jump in time. Hopefully CSC will get there soon too, and hopefully both will continue to churn out these marriage and fiance visas faster

I don't understand one thing.

According to USCIS website it says the last case that was processed was on July 18th then why people after July 18th are getting approved at CSC? Does that mean they are randomly processing cases?

By last case they mean the earliest as in all cases earlier than July 18 have been competed to some standard level set by the USCIS. Since they consider these earlier cases processed they allow you to challenge that assertion with a ......service request if you have a case earlier than July 18 that has not been processed yet.

I still don't quite understand why people with NOA1 date after July 18th, 2012 are getting approved.

See link below, it has NOA1 date of Aug 6, 2012 and it was approved at CSC. Why is this so?

In summary, we just got the official confirmation of what we already had anticipated: CSC has done relatively nothing towards processing the already backlogged I-129F petitions during January. So we can assert that they haven't made any real progress during February either. We are at their mercy here. I'm sure they KNOW they are way below their number stats, but more pressure coming from your representatives wouldn't hurt our cause. So let's hope this month they get their act together and put a real effort (just like VSC did) in getting those July, August and September cases processed.

As for us, let's just keep calm and stay focused on our ultimate goal: be with the one we love.

They were processing cases from July 18th as of January 31st 2013 (it says so at the top of the chart on USCIS site). Since then, they've processed later ones, but that won't be reflected on the USCIS site until later updates.

they have updated USCIS website, but for CSC- same date 18th July-2012

July they approved.............whats going on.................

At the same time VCS processing time for K1 is 5 months? ####### is going on? :ranting:

It's just how they do things. Instead of having a set number of workers working on each type of case, they tend to have the majority work on one caseload til they get ahead while others get behind. Then they move to another type of case and put more effort into those. It would likely go smoother if they would just keep the applications divided up so they had fewer workers working on them at a time, but they'd be working them at all times and none of these ridiculous stoppages

while VSC is back at 5 months ! So unfair... i am glad that my congressman got me through this and i ll have an answer within 30 days. Contact your representatives guys !

I think we should ALL contact our congressman, maybe the increase of inquiries might pressure CSC to move things along? My congresswoman has office hours once a week and I going next week. This is ridiculous...going 7months and two weeks with no end in sight. Contact your representatives and if you don't get the results you want then go meet them or their reps.
