Hi everyone! When submitting an I-130 can anyone advise us, what is the best way to avoid receiving an RFE (Request For Evidence)? Are there any common oversights? Anything that it's easy to miss that we could avoid? Also what kind of evidence is good to submit with the petition that will conclusively prove to them the genuineness of the relationship, thereby preventing us from receiving an RFE? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There is a thread at the top of the forum with stupid RFEs. Read over it and double check everything. Just do the best that you can do.

One thing that is strange since the 15th o August, 2012 -

Many local offices are adjudicating the I-130, and send out RFE or NOID letters for the beneficiary's birth certificate.

The I-130 instructions do not mention this, but some local offices are using different rules for adjudication.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Good to know this; maybe I should ask my wife to send it to me ahead of time. Do you know if they need the original or scanned copy will do?

Thank you so much for your replies, and for your time everyone. Does anyone know of any interviews of immigration officials (eg retired officials)

done (and posted on a forum) to discuss what causes applicaitons to be rejected or delayed?
