I just received a text and an email from USCIS saying that my wife's I-485 application status had been updated to "Card/Document Production". The thing is, she received her GC in December 2011 (which is the date shown on the USCIS case "update").

Did anyone else receive a seemingly random USCIS text/email?

Should we just assume the USCIS computer had a glitch and it means nothing? We have nothing pending with USCIS right now. In fact, we can't even file for ROC until September of this year. The truth is, after what they put us through up to this point, I don't trust them...

ya, i'm leaning towards data error.

Don't sweat it - that 'database' catches up with everyone, eventually.

For many, it's in real time.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yeah, I am too... It was just very strange to receive another Card Production text and email a full 15 months after the fact. It's too bad that USCIS database never makes errors like approving ROC 6 months before you file. It would be nice to save the $680 or whatever it happens to be these days (not to mention the aggravation!)

Oh, there are other 'deeper' errors, alas.

So far, my favorite one is a 2 year green card with issuance date on the POE date, actually printed on the greencard that way, adjusting from a K-1 visa.
