EAD Approved!!! But....

so i got my EAD approved after 2 months of applying and yes im freaking excited :D

Question is i filed AOS and EAD the same time... but i checked d case stat online and they havent touched my AOS since September. It has been on CSC since then... i thought this is gonna be faster processing..

Are they missing it? Or this is normal that EADs get approved first?

Hey Mexi=)

I can't talk for the CSC, but usually the EAD takes around 90 days to be processe where as the AOS takes between 120-180 days to be processed...So, I think it is 100% *normal* that the EAD gets processed first...

its only been 3 months since you filed.... be thankful you got your EAD so quick some have been waiting 5 months or more.... if you get your AOS interview within 5 months you will be doning ok.

The EAD is to allow you to work while you wait for the processing to be done on your AOS.... once you are approved for AOS your EAD is no longer needed....

wow congrats! I hope we are next! We filed the same time you did.

From what I understand EAD usually comes before GC, but some peoples GC has come before EAD approval.
