Depends. How much later will the child be traveling? If its more than 4 or 5 months they will have to have their own interview closer to their travel time. We went through this with my step daughter.

For us it was 3 months later and at first they told us she would need to come back for a second interview when they did not know when she would travel, but a phone call with the embassy cleared that up.

No, if the K-2 will travel later, then they will have a separate interview later when you decide they are to join.

I come back to USA just a few minutes ago, from my country (Guayaquil Ecuador), I went to support my fiancee at the visa K1 interview for her and her (3) kids, and let me tell you that all the kids at the ages of 19, 15, and 9 y.o, were interviewed as me the petitioner and of course my girl. So i think the kids must be there at that moment, if you need more info please just ask me.

As I said, if they will travel within a few months then interview together. If the K-2 will be traveling 6 months or more later then they will need a separate interview.

Hey guys. Thanks for all the replies.

Next question

I'm seeing here that with the application-- some people sent in both parties birth certificates and copies of their passports and cover letters.

I sent in none of those because I didn't see it required on the application.

Could this pose a problem???

Help!

I got receipt of application today, but only through postal confirmation, not uscis letter. How long does it usually take to get the noa1?
