Sweetie's passport is due to expire this year. How can we renew her passport while still in the USA? From what I gather from the Philippines embassy website we have to actually go to the embassy or a consulate. Is this true. really?

Thx

does your wife filed the REPORT OF MARRIAGE in Phil consulate? if not, u have to file it first before she can renew her passport.

and if she filed it already, look to the site of the phil embassy u.s and check on their outreach program where they go in every state to renew passport of the filipino citizen. YES she has to do it in PERSON. if there is a near philippine consulate in your state, she can renew her passport and if its not. u can check on their outreach program to go near your state for passport renewal. if u live in Texas. they have otreach program in Houston and in Dallas this month.

Yes she has to either go to the consulate for your area or attend an outreach event in your state. There was just an outreach program in AZ up in Phoenix a couple weeks ago, luckily for us we got signed up in time to renew my wife's passport and do the ROM.

The above link was useful for events for the month of March but how can I get a heads up on any other out reaches planned in the coming months. If there is nothing planned for the El Paso area, it would be nice to plan a road trip. We would like to get out of town for a bit.

"does your wife filed the REPORT OF MARRIAGE in Phil consulate? if not, u have to file it first before she can renew her passport. "

What if I did not file it and just want to renew my passport to my maiden name or not using my husband lastname? Is it possible?
