:help: it's been 200 days so far, still no NOA2, But I have a feeling that before that they might send us an RFE in the initial I 129F package we sent, we did not include any letter of intent to marry. would my fiance have to write the letter, sign it and send it to me? or can he fax it to me? any other faster way we could do it? That is a very long time with out getting the RFE. The notice of intent is a very important piece and it should have been detected missing.

First, it must be an original signature. A fax is not original. He must mail it to you. Preferably have him sign it in blue ink, so theres no doubt its original. (black ink can be rejected cause it could be a fax or scan or printout) you dont want additional delays or returned/rejected RFEs.

Second. Have you checked/called to make sure you didnt get an RFE yet and it was returned/failed to be delivered?

Get the notice of intent ready now. Because the RFE will be coming.

We didnt include letters of intent either... and wonder if we too will get an RFE ... but have chosen to wait as I ahve also read it is more relevant to the Embassy visit. So my fiance has a letter ready to go... he will date when we get the NOA2 (hoping its not an RFE .. but if it is at least we have some traction in the process!)....

All the best...

You never know... You may not get an RFE since you have to send another one for Packet 3 at the Embassy level. Plus there's a statement on the petition that acts as the intent to marry (Part D)...
