I have to disagree. California field offices go much faster than say mine (Minneapolis, Minnesota) and they have a much higher immigration rate/ turn over.

OP, sit back and wait. I had my finger prints done in September and I got my GC in Feb. Some people will get an interview notice within a month, some will be waiting 6 ... It depends on the processing time of your local office, you can look up the processing times on the USCIS website.

Xanax is right. I'm from CA and got my fingerprints in September as well and got my green card at the very beginning of December. I think the reason maybe that CA has more offices due to the high population/immigrants. I think. Or simply they just like us here...;)

Hi can I ask you something? How do you order your ead? Coz I did my biometrics on jan 31 which is earlier than my scheduled biometrics that should be on feb 21. And I noticed you ordered yours the day after your biometrics. Did you recieve an email? Or mail? I never got anything yet after my biometrics and I'm anxious if I should do something about my ead. I checked my status online my 485 is under the testing and interview phase and I have to wait for it. But my ead is still not there. I need ur advice

You don't order your EAD. You can choose to apply for it when you file for adjustment of status. If you applied for it you should have it within 90 days.

As a poster said on your other thread if you have an interview notice / schedule then you will probably not receive your EAD before your interview.

Hey there: as Xanax said, you don't order it. Basically you'll get first a letter of approval for the EAD, and then it should come in the mail. It really varies how soon one gets it. Some people get it a week later, others basically get it a day before their interview, while others get it approved after their interview by which time it is useless. Just wait a bit, you might get it real soon. Since you already have your interview scheduled though, you might not get it now...don't worry, in the ends what matters is that you get approved at the interview and become a PR. All the best!
