I'm thinking of applying for a Master's program but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to go to school while I'm adjusting status. My RFE response was received on Sept. 13, 2012 and I haven't heard anything since. I have an EAD and have been working since I got my EAD. It is expiring in September of this year. I know AOS is usually taking 6 months + now, so I should hear back soon. Either way, can I apply to Master's programs while waiting for AOS approval and/or when I have a 2 year green card?

Most Master's programs take 2 years, but I would be going part-time and working part-time so it might take 3 years to complete.

Thank you for reading!

Check with the school about any residency requirements.

We enrolled my stepson in a local community college with no problem. We paid non-resident fees for 2 quarters….ouch!!!

Good luck.
