i always wondered why filipeno woman are eager to marry american men but it seams filipeno men dont want american woman or maybe american woman dont want filipeno men? if the woman are as great as u all think...wouldnt the men be just as great? after all im sure they would be braugh up with the same upbringing.

oh yeah...another question to the filopeno woman here....

whats wrong with ur own men that u dont want them? the men here always complain why they dont want american wives...so why dont filipeno woman want filipeno men?

Theres nothing wrong with our men.. Maybe it just so happen that (in my case) I Fell in love with an american guy.

so why dont filipeno woman want filipeno men? - Alot of Filipinas like and would prefer Filipino.

if the woman are as great as u all think...wouldnt the men be just as great? after all im sure they would be braugh up with the same upbringing. - Even siblings have differences.. If the women are great, that doesnt neccessarily mean that the guys are great too (vice versa)

And again, I dont have a problem with Filipinos. They're Gentlemen and Nice (talking about the guys I know)

And I wasnt "eager" to marry an american, I was just destined to marry an American. I was destined to marry My Man... :):luv:(L):)

These threads pop up every couple of months and typically turn into a bashing of American women. If ask why I married a British man, the only reasoning I could give is that I met him and fell in love. There is nothing to prove as to whether one nationality is better here or there. It is down to personal preference and past relationships.

I could start listing things as to why my British man is better than an American man, but since I haven't dated every American man out there I can only compare him to a handful. I don't see that as a fair playing field. My guess is that the foreign women on this board married to American men would disagree with my analysis of American men.

These threads are nothing more than waisted space full of stereotyping.

Some filipino men are abussive according to my fiancee. Guys there thinks that when filipina marry an american, they are rejects (unwanted). They aren't, they are fighter and tender lover.

Wow apparently ONE comment I made and the thread went downhill. I didn't say your pic was porn...I merely asked if your fiance minded that her pics of her in her bra and panties, in a provocotive pose (showing cleavage) was being posted for all to see. I didn't say it was bad, porn, gross or anything else...

I was merely asking a valid question! Sorry I missed all the drama after that. I was just GUESSING that pic was sent from her to you as a private pic for you two to share...that was all.

Some filipino men are abussive according to my fiancee.

This is not exclusive to the men in the Phillipines

I believe i am destined to marry my boy.. People choose their destiny, right but however hard we try to get what we want, if God wont allow, nothing will happen.

and I would like to agree with Tim and Bethanie "If ask why I married a British man, the only reasoning I could give is that I met him and fell in love. There is nothing to prove as to whether one nationality is better here or there. It is down to personal preference and past relationships. "

Its not about nationalities and where we came from its about falling inlove.

Well said. Unfortunately, stereotypes are perpetuated and reinforced as a marketing ploy by international dating services. The reality is that marketing plays up to our own narrow perceptions and cultural bias.

I remember when I was younger, if I met someone with a British accent, I had an immediate perception of them being more higher society, civilized, etc. The only explanation I can think for why that perception existed is from the British characters I had seen on television and in movies (James Bond, Mr. French from Family Affair). I'm not excusing such stereotypes but we can't ignore the fact that they exist and every one of us has particular perceptions about certain people.

 I have tried to explain this to the husband, that Americans tend to think the British are more uppity and intelligent. I am here to say I have met some dumb low life Brits, so that stereotype falls short. This is my point, it is a useless topic some Brits are smart, some brits are dumb, some brits have rotten teeth some don't, some have a lovely accent others are not even remotely understandable. So why argue a Brit is better than an American, or in this case a Filipino is better than an American? Any intelligent person knows there are all walks of life in ever country so where is the point/argument in these types of threads?

I am in a smaller group of US/UK couples, and this has come up before. Are British men better than American men, and the answers came out 50/50 there was good and bad from both sides of the pond. Men are men and women are women, some have greater values than others. This is life, this is normal and it does not make anyone better than anyone else.

HOWEVER.....................there is no American man that can top my Brit's accent! :hehe::lol:

Look no further than the previous deleted thread on the subject to see why many American men don't marry American women. That's all I have to say about that.

I, for one, didn't go searching for a Filipina wife...I was just lucky enough to find a beautiful woman that makes me happy and is a caring and thoughtful person.

We're in the same boat. I wasn't looking for a relationship and nor did I ever expect to have one with a foreigner, oppsss alien (LOL). It has been an absolute blessing having her in my life and I would do it all again (if I had too). Kudos to us both... Oh, I'm sure some other wonderful person will find another reason to complain about your pics... just wait... goodness gracious!!!

Yes, look at the pic of my fiance sleeping...she has no clothes on underneath the blanket. P0RN! Thanks Uling.

I could've gone all day without knowing that

Why are so many American men marrying Filipinas?

First, there are some absolutely wonderful American women with excellent qualities fit for marrying. They do exist like good men do exist despite what people say. As far as the Phil-Am phenomenon, well that’s simple. There is a spiritual loving humbling humility to all that they do, all that they are, and all they will become. The way in which they love and devote themselves is virtually unmatched here in the states. After visiting the Phil, I now totally understand why so many American men have gravitated towards such an awesome group of women. It’s a no brainer. I am presuming that it's the same with Candians and the UK since it appears many petitions are from those areas as well. However, the men from the UK have the accent thing working for them (LOL)... Cheers!!!

MY answer to your question is this. I never chose who I feel so deep in love with that I couldn't take my eyes off them of even be able to think about anyone else. Now as for all the stereotypes out there about american women and men and filipino men and women you can go on days and nights with that but it's stupid cause it makes us as humans believe in things that aren't really that true. Believe in a stereotype is like believing that all storms and rainfalls are the same pattern. And if you believe that I have a nice truck to sell you. There are cultural differences that everyone has and that some people can not even think about and others focus upon. Me myself I just feel in love with my thata and couldn't imagine myself with any other and yes there were other reasons why I am not interested in white women but those are my prefpreferences I shall keep those to myself. It's your life if you believe in God like I do it's not my choice God has chosen my wife before I was born it was my choice to follow his path and meet her. If you don't then choose for yourself is your mate.

And so you know there are still good men out there. Chivalry is not dead and should not be accepted as dead if you are a woman you still deserve to have the door opened for you and such.
