Hi Everyone, I was under the impression that there is an $88 affidavit of support fee at some point. Is this correct, and if so, when is this paid? My wife and I had her interview this morning and they said she was approved, but all we've paid so far is the I-130 fee, the st. luke's fee, and the visa application fee (they also made absolutely no mention of the new USCIS fee). (CR-1 visa filed DCF). Thanks in advance for setting me straight :)

The $88 fee is paid to NVC as part of that process. Maybe it doesn't apply if you are DCF? Anyway, sounds like you got the visa. Congratulations.

you pay uscis on line the new 165.00fee pay-gov form if you dont pay the fee you won't get your green card.failure to pay does not affect your lawful status.you will have your passport stamped showing your lawful admission and permanent resident status. the stamp is valid for one year, but strongly advised that you pay the immigrant fee soon as possible to avoid delays in receiving your permanent resident card if you seek permanent residencey in the united states--.only for uscis immigrant cases.

I agree, the embassy probably won't tell you of fees you owe to the USCIS because there different entities. The $88 fee does not apply if you DCF.
