I am really IRRITATED... I swore off checking USCIS visa stuff but hey I lied lol!

I called uscis and yes I KNOW IT COULD TAKE 5-8 months whatever and I am jumping the gun but still I'm anxious like everyone else so pleaaaaaase dont lecture me about impatience. I talked to one rep she was nice but slightly useless BUT she did get me to a 2nd level supervisor because she said something looked "different" WTH? anyhow was on hold for 35 minutes ( after drinking 6cups of water I shudder to think of what damage I have done to my bladder) anyhow I got this person who could give a rat's a$$ abt my case. i had to make her dig deeper by bombarding her with questions and she FINALLY told me that my case was moved to chicago office from MSC and if they feel like it they will move it again.... I was doing all I could not to lose it... how could a person be so callous and just a total #######? maybe Im overreacting.. but still somehow I expected her to be humane abt it... Oh well at least I know as of january 30th they moved my case to chicago and wait time there is ......up to 8months... amazing... ALSo i had been told if your case is transferred they would notify you.... so I told her this and she said they dont have to tell me anything unless its going to affect me? Um HELLLOOO and this doesnt affect me? ok welll i just had to rant because frankly what else can i do?

It does state on the USCIS website on the page that appraised everyone of the switch to NBC that they would not be sending out notices of transfers to local offices. While I agree with you that it would be best for "us" if they did so, imagine how much time that would take. I would rather they spend that time going through cases. Heck I sometimes wonder if they stopped answering the phones for 6 months and all those people started working on cases if they would get caught up. There's talk of a furlough for govt employees as well, not sure if its all sections or not, and I can't imagine they're too inclined to work on cases when they might be losing money on their pay cheques which might make their bills hard to cover. Everyone is so Me Me Me and I'll freely admit I get that way too... So its good to rant and good to vent and then use the cooled head to remember that we're not the centre of the universe and life just goes on. Sucks but life is not fair.

We've been going through hell with USCIS too and I'm sorry that you are frustrated. They really need some transparency. Perhaps then people wouldn't call as often.

Hi, please feel free to post in the chicago thread as well.

Recent senator inquiries state that chicago is indeed moving along, but you should expect 4-5mos.
