Does any one know how long it takes to expire the I 864 form to expire?

Hello guys,

I have received the i 864 form almost 2 month ago and still in the process of sending it back to NVC. Does anyone know how long NVC gives you before the form expires? I am planning to send it next week for sure.

once the information there contains the most current tax year, you are good to go. so if this is not sent out till march april, you may be asked to send in another one with tax year 2012 info.

of course while what you have now is good,if your interview takes place after april 15, the consular officer may ask that you show a new I-864 with tax year 2012...so be prepared.

you are asking about 'how long do you have to submit the I-864 whilst the casefile is at NVC', I think?

if that's the question - the answer is - 1 year - if you keep in touch with NVC and let them know you are still pursuing the visa for your beneficiary.

sure he has one year to send it but if he sends it next year with info from a previous tax year( which he has filled out already) what good does that do?

I guess you are telling him he does not know what he asked after all....either way, his decision as you do not seem to have provided any relevant one my dear.
