When it comes time for me to record and send my I-134, I have had a fluctuation in income from 2009 when my position at a large City in USA, I'm the US Filer, that I work for was eliminated and my pay dropped $30k and had a home foreclosure but I kept all credit cards up to date and my credit score/FICO has remained over 700, but I was fortunate enough to retain a job in the City and since 2009 am now close to making the same pay again in 2013 within $5k of the position I lost in 2009. I will be filling for my future Wife and her two young sons so a house of 4 is my responsibility. My lowest income in 2010 was $49k but now 20k better in 2013. I want to submit as much financial information as possible to accurately reflect what I make in real dollars and give us the best chance of approval. I want to submit as much financial information as possible on the I-134 to accurately reflect what I make in real dollars and what I have in Life Insurance, savings, City Pension, and personal property that is worth money.

My question is about the I-134 question #7 stating: I have other personal property, the reasonable value which is:

Can I Submit my classic car that was bought from original owner in 1992 and has all documents including original window sticker and has had a frame off restoration with all original or NOS parts? Would I need to submit photos and a professional appraisal which I know will be $50 - $60k?

Would personal property also include the several thousands of dollars in home furniture, household items like kitchen appliances that are needed for a home and house maintenance equipment like riding lawn mowers and power snow blowers, etc.?

For the guys, the car is a REAL '138 code' 1967 Chevelle Convertible SS – 396/350hp factory engine and m-21 4-speed tranny. All is original but a rebuild on the engine from a pro engine build shop required an electronic ignition due to too much horsepower. 408hp Dyno tested now. Paperwork from day one includes every oil change receipt from Southside Chevy Dealership the car was bought from in 1967. Car currently has 89K.

I guess I just want to know what I can list as ‘Personal Property’ that would have a good influence on this decision.

Thanks for any advice and as always God Bless :-)

They care about your CURRENT income meeting the guidelines, not your income from 2009 or 2010.

If you want to include the car yes you need to have it professionally appraised and include the paperwork for it. You shouldn't need to do that at all if you currently make the proper income for the household number and can prove that.

Thank you for your reply Inky,

I guess my concern was the radical change in yearly income might need more stable property based income to satisfy the I-134.

Thank you so much for your reply.

They are only concerned that you are over the guidelines, fluctuations are of no concern to them provided each year of over the guidelines. You can list the car but I doubt is would be worth the effort, they usually prefer liquid assets.

Thank you all for your replies.

But as Moonescape states "Their only intersted in your liquid assets' Then the line in the I-134 Personal Property does have an affect or they wouldn't ask. A car, personal home property like household furnishing and major equipment should be included if it does have value and as far as liquidable asset then to me that is the easiest to sell if needed besides stocks and bonds compared to a property as it is individually owned. I thank you for your input.

You can list a car if it is not your only vehicle. You provide proof of ownership and value of the car. However, as mentioned above, if you make enough to meet the 125% requirement with your current income alone, then no need to list any assets at all. You can leave that part of the I-134 blank.

Thank you all for your feedback,

As many other aspects of the K1 need thourough proof like a relationship, Im reading that a person with enough income at the time of the I-134 is enough. Just a number with a tax filing to prove. Seems so simple but I hope you all seen my concern. Nothing in this process is a simple number of meeting a statisticle number of pay and their is the ambiguity in all in the person evaluating the visa. Not a straight forward question and that is why I asked about adding more to the I-134 to try to help my case.

Thank you all.
