Hello everyone

I just received my AOS fee papers for all 4 of my family members, (Wife and her 3 kids) they are all filipino.

my question is about the fees and also because I am useing a joint sponsor, Do I and my joint sponsor need to send I864;s for each of my family members? and do I need to pay the AOS fee of 88.00 USD for each or just for the principal immagrant? (my wife) her kids are all under 21 years of age.

No, however, dependents immigrating with the principal applicant must have a signed original or a photocopy of the principal applicant's Form I-864, and I-864A if applicable. Copies may only be used by dependents named on the principal applicant's original forms.

Each family member with a separate visa petition must submit a signed Form I-864 with supporting documents from the petitioner/sponsor and Form I-864As with supporting documents from the joint sponsor(s) if applicable.

Is one joint sponsor allowed to sponsor only some of the applicants while the other applicants are sponsored by another joint sponsor on the same petition?

Yes, but only under certain circumstances. Two joint sponsors can be used per family unit applying to immigrate under the same petition. If two joint sponsors are used, each joint sponsor is responsible only for the intending immigrant(s) listed on the joint sponsor’s Form I-864. Every joint sponsor must meet the minimum income requirement, citizenship, residence and age requirements.

Just to clarify though, you ARE completing an individual application for each of them right? Each will need their own submission but the $88 fee only is paid once. When we paid the $88 for my first son, my other son's and my fees both transitioned to IN PROCESS at the same time. So although you are going to have to send an AOS package for each of them individually, the fee is only paid one time for everyone.

Yes I have filed 4 seperate petitions for my family members with my wife of over 3 years as the primary.

Thank you all for your fast replies. I have one more question. In the AOS fee papers I see something about adjust status. How does that work? we are married for over 3 years now and will my wife get tempory residentcy, tempory green card, or permanent, and whats the best way for me to do this considering that right now we are scraping the fee money together here in the Philippines, and once we are in the USA my wife will be working so maybe her and the kids can adjust after were there?

3 years o marriage? will get IR-1 visa, leading to a 10 year green card.

no need to worry about 'adjustment of status' as SHE won't need to do it- those are only for K-1 visa holders - yer wife is IR-1 and kids are IR-2.

Affadavit of Support, the I-864, is sometimes confused with Adjustment of Status,

as

both have the same acronym

of

AOS.

note the new USCIS green card fee of 165 per human.

Hello everyone.

I have received all 4 sets of AOS but I have a question.

when signning in to the NVC for the AOS payment page, it shows related cases for my wife and our 2 youngest children, But our oldest child seems to be a stand alone case with no related cases?? my wife is the primary applicant and here case shows related cases of the 2 youngest children, while both the youngest children's cases show related cases of their mother and the other youngest child. So my question really is this: Is there an age limit to where our oldest child would be a seperate case? She is 9 years old.

no - seems, instead, that NVC has not joined up all the casefiles yet.

Call in on Tuesday, ask them to join up the casefiles.

Our cases were never shown as related to each other. There is myself and two children (4 & 7). Each always had its own registration and sign in information at every point. All communications were sent to us each individually. They showed as tied together in their system when I called in but never in anything I could see.

ya, when the casefiles are successfully 'joined up', married together,

you'll see some reference in the payment portal on the AOS fee.

and that's about all you'll see. if you see more, well, ya got lucky.
