Hello everyone!

My name is Alex, I'm a United States Citizen, and I have a fiancée, Stela, who currently lives in Brazil.

We are currently beginning the process of filing a K-1 Fiancée Visa to have her move to the States.

We met on Tumblr in July of 2010 and instantly fell head over heels for each other. One month later, on August 7, we became "official" as boyfriend(namorado) and girlfriend(namorada) and have not looked back since. I recently went down to Brazil to visit her for two and a half months between the middle of November and the end of January and it was as wonderful and movie scene-esque as we could have possibly hoped for. Everything about her, her family, and her country is a dream. We've decided to make the sensible and economically sound choice of moving her to the United States so she can pursue a job using her Master's degree.

I'll be using VisaJourney, like many others have before, to document Stela and I's journey through the murky U.S. K-1 Fiancée Visa process.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

And also, I'd love to speak to any fellow Brazilian/American couples who've waded through this experience on their own, just like we're about to do.
